MK3 4-Link Subframe Agreement ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Payment: $1000 refundable deposit, minimum of 5 orders before starting. Once 5 orders are received, I will require full payment up front. Once all parties have paid your money is nonrefundable and building will start. Completion time: My goal is 2-3 months after receiving all payments in full. I am updating a lot of small items on my current subframe as well as making a jig so I no longer will need to take my car apart for this, so will need time to make changes, remodel them and then have the items laser cut. Modifications: The subframe is almost full bolt in. Requirements are as follows: -Fuel and brake hard lines, need to be dismounted for the chassis and bent out and then back in to clear the new subframe. You can zip tie the bunch together or handle it however you see fit. You can see in pictures my lines. -Sheet metal, the upper links need to have the chassis clearanced to fit. This can be accompanied by a decent power air hammer. Roughly and inch needs to be massaged at the rear seat/seat belt nut plate. As a secondary option, I will offer a fabricated box that will allow you to cut out the sheet metal and weld the box in place for an additional $250 Brake lines: OEM brake lines and length will work, will just depend what caliper you choose to put on your 8.8 axle and how you can adapt the fitting at the caliper Shocks: OEM shocks will work if you need to for the time being, not ideal at all, will need to be adjusted roughly 1-1.5" longer to accommodate. The shock tabs on the axle should be welded to the tube so the shocks are perpendicular to the ground which will allow a ton of room for your tire choice. I will be offering the correct length double adjustable shocks and shock adapters for the chassis with each order, contact me if interested. Wheels: Current wheels will work, the foxbody 8.8 is ½" narrower than factory (depending on ride height) and at most a ¼” spacer will need to make the fitment correct. Exhaust: If your exhaust exits the rear, it will need to be modified. Your rear suspension will now move and is not in a fixed position anymore. Axle: You need to source a foxbody 8.8 which is --- mounting face to mounting face. It is highly recommended to cut and weld in the lower adjustable link bracket I send with the kit. This is easily done by bolting the brackets and spacer I send together on the factory lower bracket, tacking it on and then cutting off the old bracket. Once that is done you can fully weld the new brackets in place. Also, adjustable upper heim joints are mandatory. Which are $100 from UPR. It is also highly recommended to do C-clip eliminators/axles and disc brake conversion for obvious reasons. You can pick your rear final drive based on your tire and transmission setup. Subframe: All OEM hardware is reused, also recommend extending the wheelbase ½" so the rear tire is centered in the wheel well as upon extension the tire will travel forward to the front of the well. Geometry is based upon the foxbody factory pickup points. Will give a general starting point on pickup locations, but will very based on your front and rear ride height. There are multiple 4 link calculators online. The only thing that has changed compared to OEM foxbody is the upper arm length as our inner frame rails aren’t as wide as the fox, but helps in a good way. What is included: -Subframe -Upper link x2 -Lower link x2 -Shock mounting tab x4 -8.8 lower link tab x4 -Sway bar with axle mounting tabs (optional) Shipping: Shipping will be determined upon completion. Will be billed individually to each address. I will try my best on shipping them all by UPS ground, there should not be a need to ship by freight but won't know until I get final dimensions for a box. Be prepared if it does have to go by pallet.
